A career in energy, natural resources, and public lands spans more than four decades. A native of Evanston, Wyoming, he began as a seasonal park ranger in Grand Teton National Park and went on to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish and Wildlife and Parks, overseeing the National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. His career includes leadership roles as Assistant Director of the National Park Service for Congressional Affairs, with the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Senator Malcolm Wallop, Governor Jim Geringer, and the Upper Green River Conservancy. A longtime advocate for conservation and public lands, Wallace was honored by Teton Science Schools with the Murie Spirit of Conservation Award, recognizing his instrumental role in preserving the Kelly Parcel in Grand Teton National Park. He lives in Teton Village with his family.
